During this project in Hackney we had to sand engineered flooring which had about 5mm solid wood top layer and then seal the floor with hard wax oil. We had to be very careful not to sand off the top coat of the flooring ensuring the floor was left as smooth and flat as possible.
Our floor sanding prices start at £12.00 per sqm
Floor oiling at £5.00 per sqm
Below are a few photos made during our floor renovation job in St John's Park in Central London, Westminster, SW1. This was a solid wood floor that needed sanding down, buffing, staining and sealing with a strong, hard wearing lacquer.
This was a successful project and our customer was left happy with the result.
We sand wooden flooring from £12.00 per sqm
Sealing with a lacquer for £4.00 per sqm
In this project we had 90 sqm of old victorian pine boards to sand, gap fill and seal with hard wearing varnish. 3 rooms upstairs, landing, 15 steps, dining and living room downstairs and hallway. The floor boards had many gaps between them which we filled with pine slivers, the floors were finished with Junckers Strong lacquer.
In this project we've fitted reclaimed herringbone Sapele parquet. All the blocks were cleaned individually. Before the flooring was installed, the areas were levelled with levelling screed. Floor sealed with 3 coats of varnish. The project was carried out in London Bridge area in Southwark, SE1.

We've stripped the old white paint of these pine floor boards. Gap filled the floors with filler. The project was carried out at residential premises in Clapham, South London.
The rooms now have warm, homely feel. Floor sanding gives the floors new life for many years to come.
We sand the floors for £12.00 per sqm.
Here is a video of floor sanding in action in an office in Brixton, oval area, SW9.
This oak parquet is a hard wood and needed more sanding, going through different sanding grits. We floor sand for a price of £12.00 per sq. metre.
In this post we have a few photos of the work in progress in an office in Brixton (SW9). Oak parquet floors are sanded with our Frank Cobra sander and smaller sanders to do the edging.
Because the oak flooring is hardwood we need to take extra care and make sure we go through the grips from lowest to highest to leave the finished floor 100% smooth.
After the floor is sanded we buff the floor and then apply 3 coats of water based lacquer.
Here we've made 3 videos which show how the floor is sanded, buffed and gap filled. The floor is firstly sanded with different sanding grits to even out the floor and strip the old lacquer. After the floor is even and stripped to bare wood, we gap fill between the floor boards with a mix of saw dust and filler (this is not necessary but an option). After couple of ours the filler is dry and the floor can be sanded one more time. One of the finishing stages in preparing the floor for varnishing or oiling is buffing the floor using a wood floor buffer to make the floor as smooth and even as it can be. The floor buffing machine can even out any small inconsistencies left by a belt and edger sanders. Finally the floor is hoovered to get rid off any dust and the finish is applied.
We sand and buff the floor for £12.00 per square metre, gap fill the floor for £5.00 per square metre.
Below are 3 photos we took after the parquet floor has been sanded and varnished with Junckers Strong varnish. For this project in North Kensington the floor didn't need to be stained because its natural colour looks great as it is.
