These herringbone parquet floors were sanded, buffed with an orbital buffing machine and sealed with a lacquer.
Apparently Jimmi Hendrix lived in this house in Sutton.
Here we are levelling concrete floor using self levelling compound, preparing the subfloor to lay reclaimed parquet herringbone parquet.
After the compound is dry we'll apply 2 coats of damp proof membrane prior to installing wooden flooring. Look out for more pictures of this job.
Here we've sanded wooden floor boards (pine) to smooth finish. After this we have applied Mylands light fast stain (1 coat) allowing it to dry for over night. Next day the floors are dry enough to apply primer and 2 coats of lacquer.
Here we are working on strip Maple floors in a few offices in London Bridge over Christmas. Work involves replacing bad planks, sanding and sealing with Junckers Lacquer. Please see photos below of repair work in progress.
